Week 15 Pregnancy VLOG, Baby 3 by Sarah Olsen
WHAT WEEK?
15
HOW BIG IS BABY?
About the size of a lemon.
WHAT’S SOMETHING NEW THIS WEEK?
We are on about day 5 or 6 of social distancing. The date is March 17th as I write this and our schools have all closed.
MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT
I started spotting this weekend. I saw some brown spotting when I went to the bathroom. I knew that this was possible as I had a bleed/clot from implantation that would most likely be absorbed or come out during my pregnancy. Even though I knew this it made me nervous and I called my doctor. I spotted for two days over the weekend and decided to go into the office on Monday to be checked.
MOST EXCITING MOMENT
I got to do my 2nd trimester screening a week early and see my baby!! (blood work came back normal YAY)
EXERCISE
I am going to wait until I’m 16 weeks to start walking and doing some much needed yoga and stretching.
MEALS
LOVE LOVE LOVE food again YAY!!!!
I am eating everything in sight. I love having an appetite back.
I am eating eggs again and they taste amazing on toast with avocado and nutritional yeast with a little olive oil.
FOOD AVERSIONS
Don’t want to eat salad. Hahahah that’s not new for me but just doesn’t sound good.
CRAVINGS
CARA CARA oranges. I can’t get enough of them and I could eat them all day every day. I probably eat 3 a day. I am really craving fruit. Blueberries, raspberries, oranges, anything I can get my hands on.
REFLECTIONS
SLOWWWWWING DOWN. Wow it’s the slow the down time weather we are ready for it or not we are all being asked to stay home and slow down and work from home and do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19. I have to say the nice thing about that is it is allowing me some very dedicated time to write, to reflect, to be with my family, to connect with others in a very different way. I am taking this time and I am grateful to be pregnant as scary as these days are I am grateful that I am growing a baby in a time when I can take things slow and focus on what is most important to me in life.
