Week 31 Pregnancy VLOG, baby 4 by Teresa Palmer
WHAT WEEK?
31
HOW BIG IS BABY?
Around 16.2 inches long, weighs around 3+ lbs and is about the size of a coconut.
WHAT’S SOMETHING NEW THIS WEEK?
I am on a total health kick. Not only have I switched things up with my diet (that’s been a couple of weeks now) I’ve also really stepped up the exercise. Really preparing myself for the birth, which is of course a womans most challenging marathon!
MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT?
Nothing too challenging this week, I had a moment where it looked like we might have to quarantine for a further two weeks in SA but luckily I got clarification on that and it isn’t the case. I think everyone would go nuts with 4 weeks quarantine! So far we’ve gotten really lucky, spirits are high here in quaro and the kids are finding lots of ways to entertain themselves.
MOST EXCITING MOMENT?
This little babe is the most active I’ve had in the tummy! She is doing all sorts of flips and spins, turns and rolls, I can see the outline of limbs each times she kicks, I think the other babes have been a little more subdued but this girl seems like a total little mover and groover in there. Mark and I just love watching her play in there, it’s always as we are going to sleep or if I’m lying down. I just love feeling her. Sometimes she keeps me awake she’s so active!
STARTING WEIGHT?
52kg/116lbs
CURRENT WEIGHT?
No idea! I’m going to guess around the 140-142lbd mark but that would be me guessing!
EXERCISE?
SO MUCH!! Everyday for an hour. I’m not even having rest days because it feels really manageable and I’m looking at it as self care time. I love the endorphins that run high afterwards and it just feels good to start the day this way. I start with a fluidform Pilates class (they send a starter kit with bands, sliding discs, ankle weights and a ball) once I’m finished with that class- it’s always shorter than 20 minutes- I then roll straight in to an Emily Skye Fit class from her app. She has specific workouts for pregnancy and I find them manageable and fun. Really enjoying getting in to this exercise routine. Hopefully it’ll continue on through the postpartum period too!
MEALS?
3 smoothies a day- a chocolate/vegan protein/almond butter one with Lovewell, then I have a green smoothie and a mango/turmeric/protein smoothie from Cali Press. I’ll snack on popcorn, have avo toast in the AM, kombucha, a green juice and often eat either a salad or vegan chilli with some Mary’s gone crackers and vegan cheese! Yummm week 3 of clean eating!
REFLECTIONS?
8.5 weeks until my due date, it has gone SO FAST. Once I hit the second trimester it really seemed to fly. I booked my rental house that we will be birthing in which was an exciting step and now hope she comes somewhere between August 19th and August 26th. We have to check out of the house August 29th! So it only gives me about 4 days past the due date! And mark only arrive August 16th so hopefully she won’t come to early either! Guesses are starting to come in. Mark is adamant it’ll be on the full moon August 22nd! I don’t have a feeling either way but August 26th would be nice as it’s my half birthday but again in her own timing. Thinking about the birth experience is getting me very very excited. So much to prep/do beforehand but thinking about it all is absolute bliss!
