Week 19 Pregnancy VLOG by Teresa Palmer
What week?
19
How big is the baby?
7.2 inches (18.3cm) About the size of a zucchini!
What's something new this week?
Sleeping with a pregnancy pillow has made ALL the difference. I can somewhat still sleep on my tummy which is where I feel the most comfortable. It supports every part of my body, meaning I can get much more sleep. It’s been a godsend. I’m sleeping so much better now, plus Mark has been getting up with the kids every morning so that I can sleep in. I have about 5 months left of this so I’m lapping it up!
Most challenging moment?
This week has been really cruisy to be honest. I’ve just been juggling a couple of startups I’m working on, having the 3 boys plus extra curricular activities. I’ve felt really healthy and good and baby girl is moving a lot. I would say this might have been the best week of my pregnancy so far.
Most exciting moment?
Mark got our baby girl’s name tattooed on his neck! It was an impulsive move, but it looks gorgeous and turned out exactly how Mark envisioned it. The boys are showing it off to everyone they encounter! We also got a kick out of an amazing family day at Universal Studios. I, of course, couldn’t go on any rides but Isaac and Bodhi went on everything. Forest pooped his undies, though, which should probably fall under the “least exciting moment” section haha!
Starting weight?
114lbs/51.7kg
Current weight?
125.5lbs/56.9kg
Exercise?
Zilch!!
Meals?
Veggie burgers, muffins, avocado toast, pumpkin spice teas (although Forest usually ends up drinking most of this!), kelp noodle salad, pad thai, PIZZA! I’m certainly not afraid of carbs and big hearty meals, I always have a big appetite, but it doesn’t really increase during pregnancy, I just maintain the same amount that I’m eating.
Food aversions?
Nothing really. I don’t know if I’ve really had much of this, bar the first trimester!
Cravings?
Movie popcorn still! Also SUUUGAR!! Haha We went to Universal Studios last week with the kids and our friends from Australia, I ate so much sugar! Then on the way walking back to our car I saw a store called “It’s Sugar!” And bought a whole bag full of mixed lollies and chocolates!!
Reflections?
Your Zen Mama, Rylee + Cru and The Dopple hosted this really beautiful mamahood panel this week. We talked about how Mamas often have a mile long to-do list, but we always place ourselves at the bottom of that list. To be in a room full of women connecting about all things to do with parenthood, trying to strike a balance, discussing where we are failing and banding together to figure out how to cultivate self care was truly inspiring. It’s helped me remember that Mark and I need to ensure we have our non negotiables- the ways in which we are meeting our needs so that we can continue to be the very best parents we can be. I was so thankful and grateful to the other women on the panel as well as those who attended because it just felt like a magical moment in my parenting journey where I really feel apart of a community. I was reminded that we really are in all of this together.
