Week 25 Pregnancy VLOG baby 3
WHAT WEEK?
25
HOW BIG IS BABY?
The size of an acorn squash.
WHAT’S SOMETHING NEW THIS WEEK?
Glucose test!
MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT
I had some nerves around the time of my Glucose test. I’m not sure why I guess just because so many people comment on my belly and baby size and then follow up by asking if I have had my Glucose test yet. I always ignore it until about the week before and then I get a little nervous and wonder if I should be concerned.
MOST EXCITING MOMENT
Headed to Idaho! We are packing up our Airstream trailer and heading North! I am so excited to get on the road with the kids. We go to Idaho every summer and it is such a special time for our family. We have never traveled 17 hours in a car with the kids but we are going to stop after 10 or 11 and camp for the night. We have books and art for them, Eric has a playlist of their favorite songs and we are going to have the kids do their final zoom calls with their classes while on the road.
EXERCISE
I am still doing Every Mother, and although it’s a challenge to work out every day I am doing my best to get that and a walk in to keep my body moving. I retain water and swell a bit towards the end of pregnancy and want to be careful that I don’t get too uncomfortable on the road.
MEALS
Well I am caving SO many sweets now. TRYING really hard to not eat them all the time but it’s all I can think about. HA! Also, my doctor told me to increase my iron in food so I am working on incorporating darker greens and other foods with good sources of iron.
FOOD AVERSIONS
I don’t eat chicken. BUT I hate to see it right now. HAHA It’s a funny pregnancy thing where you turn up your nose to so many smells. If something is going bad in the fridge or if there is a questionable Tupperware, I have to ask Eric to smell it because I cannot handle weird smells.
CRAVINGS
Hi baby dill pickles have we met? It feels as though you are the long-lost food that was always around but I never knew I wanted. You are like my best friend next door who I have suddenly woken up to find out that I am in love with.
REFLECTIONS
25 weeks and away we go! Off to Idaho during this very crazy time in our world. Places are starting to open up and people are beginning to step back into public and yet it feels way too soon. I know everyone has a different opinion but I’m worried that in America this is being handled so poorly and too many lives are going to be at risk in the weeks and months to come.
Wyatt is about to be a Kinder graduate which just feels CRAZY! I remember my kindergarten graduation. I sat next to a boy named Jeremy Ryan Nicely, I wore a blue satin dress with white tights and black shoes. We lived in a small mountain town in Kentucky and I graduated kinder in a gymnasium and felt like such a big girl.
Wyatt will graduate on facetime from Idaho, waving goodbye to teachers and friends who will be wearing masks and waving at all the graduates driving by to stay socially distanced. This will definitely be a memory.
I will come back to you around 28 weeks from Idaho with stories of the road and the beginning of our month or so there.
