WHAT’S SOMETHING NEW THIS WEEK?
Nothing terribly new this week, I’m feeling more movement for sure and at certain moments there’s a real pattern to what she’s doing in there. Loving that closeness of connecting with her.
MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT?
We’ve been in quarantine this week after I came in close contact with someone at work who had Corona. So I haven’t been able to leave the hotel room for over a week which has been a bit of a bugger. Luckily though the kids weren’t locked down so they were able to still venture outside in the snow with Susie and/or the Estonian tutor Jane.
MOST EXCITING MOMENT?
I started arranging Poets 2nd birthday party this week. Obviously a party in the midst of Covid in a country where we know very few people means her party is going to be verrrry small. It’ll just be our family and my young co-stars family. My kids have become close with the little boy who plays my son in this film and his sister so we’ve been doing plenty of play dates and spending lots of time together. Poet wants a frozen dance party so we will dress up and have booked a little room in the hotel to host the “party”. We arrange a vegan cake and Mark is bringing her presents over from the states. Surreal to think she’s about to be 2.
REFLECTIONS?
I think the idea of having 4 children (5 total) has really sunk in for me. With the more active movements from her it’s definitely feeling more real and I’ve been contemplating what it’ll feel like and look like. Of course we already have 4 children but because Isaac is so much older, more independent and we only have him half the time I feel as though I haven’t had the true experience of 4 kids 100% of the time and with having 4 so close in age! So it’s got me thinking about how the dynamic of our family will work, what we might have to update (adding bedrooms, bigger car etc) and also will the baby be included the way the others are when she gets older. Would love to hear from you mamas with large families, how do you spread yourself between them all so you feel as though each child is having enough of you?
